KONNICHIWA! This is Emi!
2016 Spring anime, are you watching them?
It’s been at most two months since the earliest anime has started.
As the middle phase for the anime approaches, some being cut halfway disappointingly, others turning out to be more interesting than expected; it’s time to clearly separate their fates.
This time, for the anime currently being broadcasted, I will introduce the 5 interesting anime election rankings according to my dogmatism and prejudice!
By the way, every anime has already entered it’s 8th episode. The rankings have changed significantly from last time so be sure to pay attention!
Without further ado, let’s get to the rankings!
2016 Must Watch Anime Best 5 (in progress version)
First to be ranked “Kumamiko: Girl Meets Bear (くまみこ)”. A heartwarming anime depicting the life of the shrine maiden, Machi, and the bear, Natsu. Machi, ignorant of the world, and Natsu, clueless to how a tablet or computer works because she’s a bear, forms the story’s duo, providing laughter and healing with their cute and casual antics.
Anime like the current “Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress” and “Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World” are of many popular anime that offer nail-biting storylines, while “Kumamiko: Girl Meets Bear (くまみこ)” on the other hand, gives complete healing.
Data on the number of “Twitter commentators’ residual rate transition” for “Kumamiko: Girl Meets Bear (くまみこ)” has recorded a phenomenal number. The number of the “Twitter commentators’ residual rate transition” shows the chronology of the number of Twitter commentators viewing continuation rate up until the 4th episode of 2016 Spring Anime.
Out of all the data, “Kumamiko: Girl Meets Bear (くまみこ)” actually managed to whip out a higher result than the said to be “God Anime”, “Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress”.
“Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress” is at 103%, while “Kumamiko: Girl Meets Bear (くまみこ)” is currently on 127% and still rising! An amazing result!
Finally the climax is at hand, the story is in motion!
Kaede’s true form revealed, Koro Sensei’s past brought to light. You can’t watch it without tearing up. Above all, the class 3-E students in full force, confronting numerous challenges to learn assassination skills; I can clearly remember their figures earnestly moving forward.
Assassination Classroom (暗殺教室); there is laughter, there are tears.
Can the students protected the earth? Can the students protect Koro Sensei? Just a few more before the end! I’m looking forward to it!
The story of 30 men and women, wanting to restart life, come together on a bus tour.
From the beginning, the anime is filled with mysteries. As time builds up, the story unfolds with mysteries referring to more mysteries. In particular, after reaching their destination, “Nanaki Village”, incidents have been happening constantly but nothing gets resolved. Some people disappear. Some people form teams and try to escape. However, when you think you have escaped, you return back to where you were; escape is impossible. Alternatively, people seemingly to have met a “monster” appear in succession. Some people are convinced that it’s a ghost.
You will go, “What happens next!?” every time the episode ends on a cliffhanger.
I want to quickly know the truth to the mysteries! What happens next!?
The hero, Subaru, is summoned into a different world, and like an RPG, he can re-spawn after dying. This anime depicts the struggles of Subaru.
The most interesting part of this anime is the story. It’s by far the most interesting anime this season! Being a light novel, in the beginning you’d think that it follows the same structure as many other light novels, but you are mistaken.
No matter how many times Subaru dies, unless he clears all the problems occurred, he won’t be able to move forward. As a result, the elapsed time in the story is short but the tempo is very good so you don’t get tired of it at all. You will get conscious of the next stage every time. When the next stage actually does come, it’s incredibly exhilarating!
Subaru is bright and nimble like the young people of today, representing the atmosphere the anime tries to portray. However, getting a bitter look at the death of Subaru, seeing the seriousness of the heart’s discord, you will feel the true darkness depicted in this anime. That medley is one of this anime’s most interesting traits.
In addition, the art is very high-quality, with no breakage in the drawings, keeping it in constant good condition.
The girl character designs for the heroin Emilia, and the twins Rem and Ram are also very cute, making it a big plus.
Among fans, there is even a new abbreviated word gaining popularity. The word is “EMT”; taken from the first letters, “E” from “Emilia”, “M” from “Maji” (super), and “T” from “Tenshi” (Angel).
I wonder if the best part of this anime comes down to “EMT”. (Haha) EMT! EMT! EMT!
Personally, I think you should definitely pay attention to the performance of Yusuke Kobayashi voicing Subaru.
As expected, if we are talking about this season’s “God Anime”, there is no doubt that it’s “Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress (甲鉄城のカバネリ)”.
The most decisive factor is the realm of artwork it has achieved. Moreover, the quality never declines and continuously allows us to experience the beauty of the world within. The OP soundtrack, ED soundtrack, and even to BGM soundtrack are all incredible.
Animation, music, story, acting, etc., are all high-quality. Overall I think it absolutely deserves it’s number one spot!
In other news, here are some other interesting anime that are justified an honorable mention.
First off is “My Hero Academia (僕のヒーローアカデミア)”; the first hero anime in a long time. Seeing the main character, Deku, with no talent as a hero walk the path towards heroism, it can’t help but fill your chest with excitement.
Next up is “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 ダイヤモンドは砕けない)”. The hero, Josuke, having a last stand confrontation with a new enemy every time is a sight to see!
Another anime is “Kiznaiver (キズナイーバー)”. It’s produced by the same studio that made the anime I love, “Trigger”. So be sure to pay some attention to it. I like how the story tends to dig deep into the personalities of every one of the characters. The character designs are also pretty good.
The most regrettable is “Joker Game (ジョーカー・ゲーム)”. It’s kind of interesting, but it was unexpectedly a bit different than how I had imagined. However I am a fan of Production I.G so I will watch it till the end.
As for “Macross Delta (マクロスΔ)”, I am patiently waiting for the second half of the anime to become interesting.
So how was it?
In retrospect, this season is undoubtedly a good harvest!
Everyone have a good (anime) life! Until next time!
