In the previous episode, Josuke and Koichi successfully safeguarded Jotaro from a mopey twisted “Stand” user’s death threat. This time, another “Stand” user appears and puts on quite a show. Her name is Yukako Yamagishi – a pretty high school girl who falls in love with Koichi.
Let’s look at episode 8!
Synopsis: Episode 8
Josuke remembers one particular statement Hazamada made; “Stand” users tend to seek each other without knowing their identities or reasons. Little did he knew that the statement is a hint to what will happen now…
One day on the way home from their high school Josuke and Okuyasu spot Koichi in a cafe sitting across a pretty girl in the school uniform. She is a classmate of Okuyasu, named Yukako Yamagishi.
Josuke and Okuyasu hide behind the building so they can keep watching the two without being obvious. To their surprise, Yukako abruptly admits to Koichi how much she loves him. She likes how Koihi has changed just recently and tells him how much potentials she sees in him, and she just can’t stop thinking about him.
In summary, right after Koichi became a “Stand” user, she started being interested in Koichi. But, that doesn’t mean she identifies Koichi as a “Stand” user. Koichi seems pretty happy to have a gorgeous girl approach him and ask him out. As he has never had an experience like this before, he’s overwhelmed and replies in vague words and incomplete phrases.
“Well, which is it? Do you like me?! Or not?! ANSWER ME!”
The pretty Yukako abruptly raises her voice, looking livid. Her rich black hair swirls and flairs up over her head.
The next moment, she quickly composes herself, and apologizes for being too excited, and leaves the scene. Koichi is left alone in the cafe, still upset with what has just happened, and attempts to finish the Cola in his glass, to calm down. He takes one gulp, and spits out a bunch of long black hairs in disgust. He has no idea how those hairs get into his drink.
Watching the whole event, Josuke starts to think that the pretty girl could be a “Stand” user. “Stand users tend to seek each other without knowing their identities or reasons.”
The next day at school, Koichi is on cleaning assignment. Yukako shows up to talk to him. She asks for his forgiveness for having lost her temper momentarily, and sincerely asks him to stay friends.
Koichi accepts it and says ‘of course I am your friend’, etc, but he quickly regrets saying that. As if that friend statement was an approval, Yukako starts showing abnormal attachment to Koichi. She knits him a sweater. She crafts an amulet for him from scratch. She packs his lunch in a three-tier lacquered bento box set. Her unusual behavior escalates. She corners him with this crazed look in her eyes, and Koichi feels threatened. Luckily, one of his female classmates comes to look for him. He gladly escapes Yukako with the excuse that he has to finish a school chore. Yukako is left alone. Her face deforms in rage and her hair stand on the end like burning flair.
Later that event, Yukako visits the female classmate and demands that she stays away from Koichi. The girl snaps at Yukako that she doesn’t take orders from anyone, and that’s just not what Yukako wanted to hear. Yukako uses her “Stand” ability to light a fire on that girl’s hair. The fire quickly spreads over the assertive girl and she shrieks in fear. Luckily, Okuyasu happens to be at the scene; he uses his “Stand” ability “The Hand” to cut up the girl’s burning hair, saving her from any injuries.
This incident convinces Josuke and Okuyasu that Yukako has a “Stand” ability.
Yukako’s “Stand” ability is called “Love Deluxe” which allows her to transform her long black hair to grab, wrap around, or lift objects. It’s multi-functional and powerful; she can torture people if she wants to. She found this ability after having shot by Keicho’s cursed arrow.
Koichi is so disturbed by Yukako’s frequent appearances that he doesn’t do good in one of the exams. He turns to Josuke and Okuyasu for advice. At this point, he is ready to tell Yukako that he has no interest in her. Josuke thinks the full denial will make things worse, it might make her even more upset. In the end, the three boys agree that the best and quickest way is to make Yukako believe Koichi doesn’t deserve her attention.
Josuke and Okuyasu quickly act on their strategy. When Yukako walks pass by them, they diss Koichi in loud volume so she can sure catch that bad rumor.
Their plan doesn’t go the way they anticipated.
Late that night, Yukako sneaks in to Koichi’s bed room. She uses her “Stand” to apprehend sleeping Koichi and carries him to her seaside villa. Her motive? She is going to give him a proper “education.”
Next morning, Koichi’s special training begins, bright and early. Yukako sets down a scrumptious breakfast on a tray in front of Koichi, and then, gives him an English test. If Koichi selects the correct answer from three given options, he is allowed to enjoy the breakfast; bacon and eggs. If he chooses one of the incorrect answers, his breakfast will be either a flip card in a serial bowl, or, asparagus wrapped in dictionary paper.
Koichi makes an attempt to escape this madness, but, Yukako is ahead of him. She has already planted a portion of her hair hidden inside Koichi’s own hair, to control his moves. Koichi is in danger…! No matter how cute and sexy the girl may be, her abnormal infatuation is nothing but a horror story. Poor Koichi, his hostage life continues to the next episode.
