If you don’t have watched all episodes up to episode 8 or even haven’t watched this TV Anime at all, you should read this article after you have.
Waa it’s good, It’s soo good. It’s my favorite anime this year.
I just finished watching the 8th episode and it almost made me cry since it so touching.
What do you think?
I admit that there might be some good and also bad points about this anime, but I sincerly enjoyed this anime.
Subaru’s shaken heart
The words ‘I’m back’ by Subaru after coming back from the dead were so relieving.
Choosing death by jumping off a cliff, I had a feeling that he would use his power to redo everything from there.
Not only the trauma left, but also the fact that he is shell-shocked that he got killed by Rem.
After having watched a lot of mysteries that became darker and darker earlier.
After being able to come back to a tension free everyday, the first half had quite some calming scenes, right?
It was also nice to be able to see Ram and Rem’s pleasant reactions and to get a glimpse at Subaru’s progress of his housework skills.
Addionally, Subaru’s magic talent was found after Puck analyzed his mana.
(‘Darkness lets you remember trauma’ like drawings have also been there…)
Finally a little bit of information about magic is revealed, which makes you understand the breadth of this work’s world a little more.
This world view makes you to always want to be in it.
The next day, being told by Emilia ‘You’re really fit today!”, Subaru with a high-tenshion mood has a lot of fun with Emilia and Puck.
Until now it was only Subaru who always was on high-tension.
But, this time it was clear that his mood was a little different because of his conversation partner, which made us, who were watching this uncomfortable feeling the whole time, anxious.
But listening to Emilia’s friendly words, relieved us in the audience and all our doubts went away.
And at this timing, Subaru’s heart cry that only we who watch the anime could hear.
Being shaken by it, we can only begin to cry, right?
Being a little experienced Subaru does his job as a servant perfectly from the first day.
That night, Subaru gets suspected during a converstaion between Ram and Roswaal and a scene is shown which shows Rem having a bad feeling.
There has been a similar scene with Ram and Roswaal before. At that time we didn’t know what to think of it, but Subaru seemed to be suspected all along.
In respect to the fact that Rem killed Subaru, we can think of it as she has done it to purely protect Emilia, but also that Roswaal has a lot to do with it.
We can imagine, Rem did it after she felt that she had the responsibility to do it after Ram got too close to Subaru.
Then, directly hearing about Emilia’s courtesy towards Subaru, this scene foreshadows that this time Subaru will be killed by Rem.
Unintentionally, it makes us think if all of Subarus’s efforts have really paid of.
The last scene shows Rem, still staring at Subaru.
The jealous witch, silver-haired half-elf, Satera
Considering Emilia who identified herself as Satera, the friendly side of her finally came into my notice.
Also the fact, that Satera exactly looks like a silver-haired half-elf.
I still remember me saying, when Emilia was confronted with Felt, ‘no way!’, ‘it’s just an accidental ressemblance’.
All this foreshadowing even so early in the story, it’s a really good anime.
Still unresolved mysteries
Subaru’s witch smell (might be related to his redo power)
Emilia and Satera’s relationship (only their looks?)
Felt, who was brought by Reinhard, and his reaction to the kings emblem (vessel of the king?)
Might Ram and Rem be demons?
The aim and identity of the shamans
I cannot wait for the next episode
Re:Zero makes want to watch the next episode every time, right?
Because you see many scenes multiple times in this work, I first thought that might get boring after a while, but the producers really used it wisely and you see how Subaru steadily grows and how more and more mysteries get resolved.
Additionally, the radio is very interesting, too.
I think that there’s still a great amount of foreshadowing that I haven’t noticed yet. I you can think of some, please feel free to write a comment about it.
