April 11th The high-tech physical exam
It’s been a week since the entrance ceremony.
Inside Class 1-7, student-teacher interviews and physical exams are carried out. However, they stir up the girls’ negative karma and caused chaos. After school, Hanako, Hibari and Botan are on a mission to find perfect club activities, so they decide to visit clubs with the school guide robot Timothy.
Ms. Kodaira, the teacher of Class 1-7, tells the students including Hanako, Hibari and Botan that they all carry negative karma.
Unbelievably, she sets their class goal as ‘to be happy’.
The first assignment is to take a raw egg home and bring it back to the class next day without cracking it.
Hanako is the only one who manages to bring the egg safely back to school next morning. However, the egg happens to hatch while Hanako is celebrating her success.
So, no one accomplishes the first assignment in Class 1-7. Do you really think they gain their happiness as their class goal?
Episode 2 starts off with individual interviews.
Ms. Kodaira makes notes as she has an interview with each student. She writes ‘tragic love’ as Hibari’s misfortune type and ‘poor health’ for Botan’s.
However, for Hanako, she doubtingly writes ‘misfortune?’ with a question mark.
Next, the scene moves onto physical exams. Hanako, Hibari and Botan are busy talking about their weights. The subject changes to Hibari’s love (a guy on a construction sign) after Hanako mentions something.
Hibari begins to talk how it all started. While they are chattering away, an unknown object comes running towards them from farther down the hall.
This unknown object is actually a robot called Timothy, built at school. It is a school guide robot to lead the happiness class.
Without any specific reason, they did the physical exam using high-tech machines and made Botan really wear out. Hibari assists her to go back to the classroom.
Hibari asks Hanako to get drinks from a vending machine.
Hibari and Botan are waiting in the classroom. Hanako comes back with unappetizing drinks…
They manage to drink up, and go off to see some club activities.
Hibari becomes a star, unintentionally showing off her skills in the cooking club. On the other hand, in the sport club, Botan physically gets hurt including broken wrists.
As for Hanako, she suggests to visit the animal club, as she is crazy about animals. However, they find themselves on the run from a stampede of all the animals.
In the end, they decide not to join any club and head home together.
As the story goes, you can kind of tell what sort of misfortunes Hibari and Botan are carrying. However, it is still not clear what exactly Hanako carries, other than being ‘just unlucky’.
Ms. Kodaira makes vague comments on Hanako’s misfortune type, so there must be some stories to follow.
There is something that Hanako notices during the physical examination…
Botan gets depressed that she weighs more than last year again. Hanako realizes why Botan is gaining her weight when she sees Botan’s breasts.
Hanako normally seems to be positive, but she gets a bit upset and down in this scene. I suppose she is a girl just like others after all…
I enjoyed watching the cute side of the characters again. I can’t wait for the next week!
