The TV anime ‘Orange’ will start broadcasting on Tokyo MX and other stations from July 3rd (Sun).
Additionally more information on the theme song has been revealed.
The theme song was written by Yu Takahashi who composed many songs such as ‘Fukuwarai/福笑い’ and ‘Sakura no Uta/さくらのうた’. The song will be his 15th single and is called ‘Umareta Riyuu/産まれた理由’ and will be on sale from June 22nd.
The opening song ‘Hikari no Hahen/光の破片’ was written with the purpose to reflect the image of the anime ‘Orange’.
Its sound focuses on and shall depict Naho and her friend’s youth passing by.
The sales launch of the CD case which was created in collaboration of the original comic as well as the music video which was clicked over 10 million times became a big topic the last days and will determine Kubokuro’s future.
A little different from the movie, in the TV anime at the end of each episode the ending song ‘Future/Mirai/未来’ will be shown, to gently wrap the viewer into the story of ‘Orange’.
Comments by the artists have been released! They told us about what they think about ‘Orange’ and its music.
In addition, the 2nd PV in which the songs ‘Hikari no Hahen’ and ‘Future/Mirai’ have been used has been released.
In comparison to the 1st PV, which was first shown at AnimeJapan2016, the 2nd PV shows a lot of beautiful drawings of the characters and of the scenery of the Matsumoto region.
The music will emphasize the emotions which will come up in the two time axis of the 16 years old Naho and the 26 years old Naho.
Opening song artist Yu Takahashi’s comment
A kaleidoscope shows us an infinite number of different and beautiful colors and shapes. If you take a close look at them one by one you might find some which are not really beautiful, but combined again with other shapes and colors, they become beautiful again.
Maybe it’s the same with us human beings. There might be some things about us that are not visible when observed alone, but become visible when connected with other people.
That was my impression when I first read ‘Orange’.
I though that maybe I can express those feelings with my very own sounds, so I wrote ‘Hikari no Hahen’ by trial and error.
Theme song artist Kubokuro’s comment
Inspired by the world of ‘Orange’, the song ‘Future/Mirai’ was born.
Then, when singing in front of all the fans at concerts, I became convinced that the song that is so important to us, grows up with us.
We’re very happy, that this story was adapted into so many formats like comics, movies and now an TV anime.
We would be happy if our song at the end of each episode could help to depict the story more.
We really look forward to seeing the TV anime.
