Natsume Yuujinchou Go (Natsume’s Book of Friends 5) Production Committee, August 24, 2016
Humans and monsters have ties. Both are important enough to protect. It is a beautiful and fragile story about humans and monsters.
Natsume’s Book of Friends 5 starts in October 4, 2016 and it’s the fifth season of the popular Natsume’s Book of Friends, originally a manga serialized monthly in LaLa. Natsume is a calm, soothing work about the delicate relationship between humans and monsters, drawn against Japanese nature scenery in a sad, melancholic way.
After four years of absence, it’s only natural that the fans are excited about the new addition to the series. We almost had a fight here in Manga.Tokyo. We could easily host a killing game among our writers like the one in Danganronpa. They all wanted to write the reviews for Natsume.
If you haven’t seen earlier seasons of Natsume’s Book of Friends, you may hesitate to watch Natsume’s Book of Friends Season 5. You don’t have to though because as far as I watched, each episode covers its own story. We do recommend you, however, to watch at least the first season and a few selected episodes from the rest.
Now that Anime themed cafes are becoming more and more popular, there are several Natsume’s Book of Friends Themed Cafes planned to open in Tokyo and Kyoto this year.

I was waiting for the anime, Natsume’s Book of Friends Season 5 ! Thank you. I love Natsume’s Book of Friends, and watched all from the first season. I feel so honored to sing the opening theme for this anime. I am unbelievably glad!! I put my thought on this anime together into the song. I tried not to ruin the image of the anime so the fans of the anime will also enjoy the music. Thanks!

I feel honored to sing the Ending theme for Natsume’s Book of Friends Season 5. I was moved and inspired by the relationships between Natsume and the monsters when I wrote the lyrics. The monsters are cold, but sometimes more warmhearted than humans.
I would like to decorate the story with my song. I personally love Nyanko-Sensei, so can’t wait to see him in the anime.
